Furthermore, many infectious diseases are transmissible to other individuals, impacting not only individuals but also to the entire society significantly.

These infectious diseases include well-known noes from the past, such as cholera and typhoid fever, as well as emerging diseases like AIDS and SARS.

Infection Medicine is a department that specializes in the management of such infectious diseases. Additionally, we actively participate in the management of epidemics that are prevalent in the local community, contributing to promote local citizens’ health.

Our department is responsible for the treatment and prevention of opportunistic infections in immunocompromised patients. Within the hospital, it plays a consulting role for cases like febrile patients from other departments. Moreover, we diligently involve in monitoring and managing hospital-acquired infections.
