    Dr. Areum Kim, the Director of International Healthcare Center, is a doctor of Internal Medicine in Korea, specializing in Infectious Diseases. She was also certified in the U.S.A. in 2010. She previously worked in the Emergency Medical Center of Inha University Hospital for five years before taking over the role of Director of the International Healthcare Center in March 2020.

They will work closely with you and your family to make sure your trip is as trouble-free as possible. Caring, skilled and dedicated, your coordinator will make your stay efficient and hassle-free by helping you navigate the Inha University Hospital's system scheduling medical appointments with the most appropriate Inha University Hospital medical experts, providing language interpretation services and anticipating your cultural expectations.

Our international care coordinators can:

  • Coordination of hospital, physician and diagnostic appointments
  • Arrangement of airport transfer
  • Assist with hospital admission and discharge
  • Estimates treatment cost for self-paying patients
  • Provide an interpreter for medical appointments.
  • Coordinate all patient appointments throughout the hospital, its clinics and satellite facilities.
  • Assist with financial arrangements such as opening a local bank account.
  • During an inpatient stay, an international care coordinator will visit you frequently. Although your attending physician and his or her team will coordinate the majority of your clinical care, the international care coordinator will make sure everything is coordinated properly and in a culturally appropriate manner
  • Make appointments for family members who request routine and preventative medical care.
  • Recommend entertainment options and serve as a concierge for family members.
