Occupational and Environmental Medicine

The Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Inha University Hospital focuses on early detection, diagnosis, and treatment for the prevention of diseases among workers. They use various methods to assess occupational environments, analyze data, and offer improvement strategies. An outpatient clinic has been established for the department along with an occupational disease surveillance system in Incheon. These initiatives have paved the way for clinical industrial medicine advancement. Ongoing studies include examining genetic susceptibility's role in disease development, evaluating toxicity of hazardous chemicals through laboratory analysis, regional cancer registration efforts, air pollution monitoring programs as well as health impact assessments.
