Introduction to Incheon International Airport Medical Center

Incheon International Airport Medical Center was established on March 12, 2001, starting with the opening of Terminal 1, and followed by the opening of Terminal 2 on January 9, 2018, to maintain a hospital-level medical system and provide medical services including emergency care, general treatment, and health checkups 365 days a year. The center has made efforts to achieve its founding principle since its establishment and has seen a total of 1,332,709 outpatients from January 2004 to December 2022.

Mission of Incheon International Airport Medical Center

The center aims to implement the founding principle of Inha University Hospital and provide timely and appropriate internationally recognized medical services to airport users, as well as residents of the Yeongjongdo Island community and airport employees, to ensure safe and comfortable operations at the hub of Northeast Asia, Incheon International Airport.

Role of Incheon International Airport Medical Center

A. The center's purpose is to provide emergency care and treatment for all patients who need it and improve the health of airport employees based on ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) Airport Service Manual Part 1 (Rescue and Fire Fighting) and Part 7 (Air Emergency Planning).
 

B. Incheon International Airport Medical Center performs obligatory support services for airport users and employees.  

  •    • Obligatory support and medical services for 40 domestic and international airlines

  •    • Primary care and emergency medical services

  •    • Health promotion activities such as health checkups for airport employees

  •    • Health checkups for residents of the local community

  •    • Collaboration and exchange with domestic and international aviation medical institutions and emergency rescue organizations such as airport fire departments

  •    • COVID-19 testing for international travelers (cumulative test results from December 2020 to January 2023: 215,021)
