Digestive Care Center

The Digestive Care Center performs the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases of whole organs related with digestion, besides researches for new treatment and teaching. The Digestive Care Center of INHA university hospital was founded in December, 2007 for accurate, efficient diagnosis and treatment in digestive disease. Endoscopy center and outpatients space are located closely on the third floor in INHA university hospital to provide convenient medical service to patients. Especially, in extended and transferred endoscopy center, patients are able to wait, underwent endoscopy and recover comfortably. Endoscopy center has total five endoscopy exam rooms, one fluoroscopy room where ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) is performed mainly, and gastrointestinal motility test and capsule endoscopy room. By using the latest endoscopy system with narrow band imaging: NBI (Evis Lucera 260, Olympus®), more accurate upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy is possible with newest ultrasound system (Prosound alpha-10, ALOKA®), more sophisticated diagnosis and treatment for submucosal tumor in gastrointestinal tract and pancreatobiliary diseases are also possible. In fluoroscopy exam room, a diagnosis and treatment of diverse pancreatobiliary diseases are performed by ERCP, and also gastrointestinal interventions such as stent insertion are operated. In addition, in gastrointestinal motility room carries out manometry, 24 hours pH monitoring and biofeedback. Capsule endoscopy (MiroCam®) for examination of small bowel lesions which is difficult to diagnosis by conventional endoscopy methods is also available in endoscopy center. The best team composed of total fifteen medical doctors and fifteen nurses and five center staffs try to provide the best medical service.
